What is Timezone?

The timezone converter takes a wall-clock time in one IANA timezone and computes the equivalent wall-clock time in another, accounting for daylight-saving rules in both.

How it works

It converts via the UTC instant using the Intl API, which encodes the real IANA tz database including historical and DST offsets.

  1. Enter your input. Type or paste your input into the field above — the tool responds instantly.
  2. Review the result. Output updates live as you type. Everything runs entirely in your browser.
  3. Copy or download. Use the Copy button to grab the result, or Download to save it as a file.

Examples

Cross-timezone meeting

Set 9:00 AM New York and see it as 2:00 PM in London (summer time) and 6:30 PM in Mumbai — one instant, three local clocks.

Common mistakes

Ignoring daylight saving

An offset like UTC-5 is only valid part of the year. The converter applies the correct offset per date, so a June meeting differs from a January one.

Frequently asked questions

Does it handle daylight saving automatically?

Yes. The conversion uses the IANA timezone database, so DST transitions are applied for the specific date you convert.

My city isn't listed — what do I do?

Pick the nearest major city in the same timezone, or search by UTC offset. Offsets shown include the current DST state.

Is my input sent to a server?

No. All timezone math runs locally in your browser using the built-in Intl APIs.
