What is Workload Planner?

Over a term the problem stops being “what do I do tonight?” and becomes “which week is the bad one?”. Six pieces of coursework with six deadlines look fine individually and impossible in the fortnight they overlap, and that is only visible if the hours are grouped by week.

How it works

Hours are bucketed into the week each deadline falls in — weeks start on Monday — so the chart shows the shape of the term rather than a flat task list. Each assignment also gets a start-by date derived from your weekly budget: six hours of coursework with six hours a week of capacity starts the week it is due, the same piece with two hours a week has to start three weeks out. Weeks that ask for more hours than you have are flagged and counted while there is still time to move something.
