What is Exam Countdown?

A countdown is only useful if it is right after the laptop has been closed, so this one is computed from the exam's actual moment in time rather than from when the page was opened. It also answers the two questions that go with the number: how many weeks away it is, and whether it is today, tomorrow or already over.

How it works

The remaining time is always `target − now`, recomputed from your device clock every second rather than decremented, so a throttled background tab cannot make it fall behind. The time you enter is a wall-clock time where you are, which is what you would write on the top of a revision plan. “Add to calendar” writes a standard `.ics` file locally — the exam appears as a two-hour event in any calendar app, with no account and no upload.
