What is Percentage Worksheet?
Percentage problems come in three shapes, and mixing them up is the usual source of errors: find the part (what is 15% of 80?), find the percent (12 is what percent of 80?) and find the whole (12 is 15% of what number?). Practising one shape at a time makes the relationship between part, percent and whole explicit before the shapes are mixed.
How it works
Each question starts from a whole number and a whole percent, and the part is computed from them — so 15% of 80 is exactly 12, and the sheet never contains a part the key has to round. Early tiers restrict the percent to multiples of 10 and then 5, which makes the mental arithmetic visible; the top tier uses any whole percent. The key shows the substitution as well as the answer, and mixed mode draws all three shapes from that same exact construction.
