About Student & School Tools

Students and teachers end up doing the same arithmetic over and over: what a weighted average comes to, what score the final needs to be, where a cumulative GPA lands, how many classes can still be missed, how long a reading assignment will take. These tools answer those questions instantly and show the formula behind the answer, so the number is checkable rather than just believable. Impossible targets — a final score above 100%, a target grade already locked out — are explained instead of silently returned, and nothing you type leaves your device.

Frequently asked questions

Do these calculators show how the answer was worked out?

Yes. Each tool prints the formula it used — the weighted-average sum, the final-score equation, GPA = Σ(points × credits) / Σcredits, and so on — so you can reproduce the number rather than trust it.

What happens if a target grade is impossible?

You get an explanation instead of a meaningless number. If reaching your goal would need a final-exam score above 100% (or below 0%), the tool says so in plain language; the same applies to an attendance target that cannot be recovered.

Which GPA scale do the tools use?

The standard US 4.0 bands by default (A ≥ 93, A− ≥ 90, B+ ≥ 87, …), with a weighted 5.0 option on the GPA calculator and separate US / Indian 10-point / UK mappings in the percentage converter. Conversions vary by institution, so treat the percentage-to-GPA result as an estimate.

Are my grades and class lists stored anywhere?

No. Every tool is plain client-side TypeScript — there is no API call, no account and no telemetry. Refreshing the page clears everything, and the tools keep working offline once loaded.

Do the date tools duplicate the Date & Time category?

They deliberately do not. The school tools are weekday- and holiday-aware for term dates, while the generic Countdown Timer and Date Difference Calculator live in Date & Time — each school tool cross-links to its generic equivalent instead of re-implementing it.
