Indefinite Integral Calculator
Find an antiderivative symbolically, with the constant of integration.
What is Indefinite Integral?
An indefinite integral is an antiderivative: a function whose derivative is the one you started with. Because every constant differentiates to zero, the answer is only defined up to an arbitrary constant, which is why the + C is not optional.
How it works
The integrand is pattern-matched: sums integrate term by term, constant factors come out, powers follow the power rule, and sin, cos, tan, exp, ln and sqrt are recognised with a linear inner function. When nothing matches, the page says so rather than returning a plausible-looking wrong answer.
