Room Volume Calculator
Compute a room's cubic volume from its dimensions and ceiling height.
What is Room Volume?
A room's volume is its floor area times ceiling height, and it is the figure behind air-related sizing: air changes per hour for a purifier, BTU ratings for a heater or AC, humidifier capacity, even how much paint a ceiling Sprayer holds. Floor area alone answers 'what covers it'; volume answers 'what fills it'.
How it works
The three dimensions multiply in one unit system. The floor area is shown alongside the volume so the two figures most sizing guides quote can be read together. Vaulted ceilings are handled by averaging the low and high points, which the note explains.
