What is SSH Keys?
An SSH key generator that produces an RSA key pair in the browser, outputting the public key in OpenSSH format and the private key in PEM.
How it works
An RSA key pair is generated with the Web Crypto API; the public key is converted to OpenSSH format and the private key exported as PKCS#8 PEM.

Examples
Server access keys
Generate an Ed25519 or RSA SSH key pair for a new server — copy the public key straight into authorized_keys.
Common mistakes
Legacy algorithms
Ed25519 is the modern default. Choose RSA 4096 only when a legacy server requires it.
Frequently asked questions
Should I use a browser-generated key in production?
Browser-generated private keys should be treated as demo/throwaway. For production keys, prefer ssh-keygen in a trusted terminal.
