What is Readability?

A readability analyzer for writers: it computes the three classic readability formulas from sentence length and syllable counts.

How it works

A syllable counter estimates syllables per word, then the readability formulas are applied with grade-band labels.

Examples

Audience-fit check

Check a blog post's Flesch Reading Ease score and grade level so the writing matches the intended audience.

Common mistakes

Scores are estimates

Readability formulas use word and sentence length as proxies — they don't measure comprehension, so treat scores as a rough guide.
