What is Spelling List?
Spelling and vocabulary lists are usually learnt in the same order, which lets students recall the sequence instead of the words. Randomising the order each time turns the test into a genuine spelling test, and printing it in columns keeps the sheet compact for a display or a cut-out set.
How it works
Duplicate lines are removed before shuffling, so a word can never appear twice on the same sheet, and the order is generated from a seed shown in the readout — which means the exact sheet you printed can be reproduced later. The list is stored in your browser so a week's words can be built up a few at a time, and the printed list is a plain numbered column layout with no decoration to waste ink.
