About Printable Generators

Printable paper is the one category where the output is physical, so the details that most online generators get wrong genuinely matter. Every tool here draws its sheet as vector graphics at the real paper size: 1 mm on screen is 1 mm on the page, a 5 mm grid is exactly 5 mm, and the printable area recalculates when you switch between Letter, A4 and Legal or flip to landscape, so a row of a grid is never clipped at the edge. The grids are built from repeating SVG patterns rather than one line per rule, so a 1 mm engineering grid costs no more than a sketch grid. The planners do real calendar and clock arithmetic — correct month lengths, correct starting weekdays, exact time rows — rather than hardcoding a template. The maths aids and worksheets are generated from the actual numbers: fraction strips are all the same width so equivalent fractions line up, hundreds-chart highlights are evaluated per cell, and a worksheet's answer key is re-derived from the question text instead of being trusted. Flashcard backs are mirrored for genuine double-sided printing, with a long-edge or short-edge flip to match your printer. You can print straight from the browser or export a PDF built locally — no server, no upload, and it works offline after the first load.

Frequently asked questions

Will the printed page match what I see on screen?

Yes. Every sheet is vector graphics laid out in millimetres on the real page size, and the preview is a straight proportional scale of it. In the print dialog pick the same paper size, set scale to 100%, and enable background graphics if you want shaded bands and grids to appear.

Do I need to install anything, or is anything uploaded?

No. Everything is generated in your browser and printed from the page. The optional PDF export is also built locally with no server round-trip, so nothing you type — student names, class lists, definitions — leaves your device.

Why use this instead of a paper template bought online?

Because the parameters are yours: exact grid spacing in millimetres or inches, any paper size or orientation, any number of staves, any month or multi-month range, any set of times tables. You also get the arithmetic done correctly rather than a fixed picture — real month lengths, real weekdays, real clock rows.

What does the difficulty tier mean on the geometry worksheet?

Tier 1 uses single-digit whole numbers: polygon answers come out whole, and circle answers are given to two decimal places because π is irrational. Tier 2 uses two-digit numbers with answers rounded to one decimal place where needed (circles to two). Tier 3 uses three-digit numbers and decimals with answers to two decimal places.

How does the flashcard double-sided mode work?

Print the front sheet, then turn the paper over and print the back sheet. The back is mirrored for the flip your printer uses: a long-edge flip (the usual portrait default) mirrors columns, while a short-edge flip mirrors rows. Match the setting in this tool to your printer driver and each definition lands behind its own term.

Why do the grids stay sharp at any size?

The repetitive parts of a sheet are SVG patterns rather than thousands of individual lines, and the sheets are vector throughout. That keeps the file tiny, prints at the printer's full resolution rather than a fixed pixel grid, and means a 1 mm grid is as clean as a 10 mm one.
